Putting Our Patients First: Highlights from AOA

Thank you for the opportunity to join so many of you last week in Washington, D.C., at Optometry’s Meeting.

The Johnson & Johnson Vision team was excited to be on the ground to engage with eye care professionals from across the country during this inspiring week for our community—and we thank our partner, the American Optometric Association (AOA) for having us and for its dedication to patients and the profession.

I was honored to offer remarks during the Opening General Session with fellow vision care leaders and share Johnson & Johnson Vision’s commitment to the doctors who prescribe and patients who use our ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses every day.

This commitment inspires us to partner with eye care providers to ensure a brighter future for vision care—because when we partner for a common goal, we are better together.

In case you missed it: a glimpse into Optometry’s Meeting

For those who were unable to attend Optometry’s Meeting, I invite you to visit our Facebook Community Vision to Action and catch exciting highlights from this year’s meeting. There you’ll find:

  • Highlights of the inaugural AOA+ events preparing young doctors to be leaders in the profession in the exam room and on Capitol Hill—including video clip that showcases the promise these young professionals will bring to the future of optometry;
  • A look at the team in action at our Johnson & Johnson Vision booth; and
  • The can’t miss moments from the podium throughout the conference.

On behalf of everyone at Johnson & Johnson Vision, I would like to give special thanks again to AOA for another successful annual meeting, to the thousands of eye care professionals who attended, and to vision care advocates around the country for your continued commitment to your patients.
